Tumblr the popular blog platform for techie insider has a new iPhone app to be even cooler with new mobile app to let users post coolness. Tumblr is the twitter of blogs platforms where the rebloging is the ultimate coolness by following cool hipster on the web. Just wait when the service gets populated with the masses to depend the level of cool. The iPhone may hasten the adoption of the tumblr platform and disseminate cool posts in a quicken pace.
The beauty of tumblr is the simplicity of posts and selecting appropriate media format for posting in. The main menu screen allows users the option to post in the media format: text, photo, quote, chat, audio. The iphone app takes advantage of the phone feature of photo and audio than on the tumblr online web format.
Building on the key of simplicity, tumblr has successfully has built an iPhone app that takes advantage of key features of tumblr and making it easy. Users can easily post, save drafts, and follow other tumblrs through the iphone app.
Previously, Tumblr apps where available such as a few third-party Tumblr iPhone apps before tumblr own launch of their own, and Tumblr even promotes one of them, Tumblrette, on a key part of its site.
Tumblr recently raised a $4.5 million second round of funding led by Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital. Previously, the company had raised $750,000.
