BOXEE Opens Up

I had the opportunity to see a demo of Boxee. I was totally blown away the Boxee UI and simplistic user interface. Boxee delivers on exactly what one would envision of the future in ability to access all digital media content form a single easy to use UI. The design was simplistic and beautiful. The demo gives another level of how cool of an app and exactly what anyone would want that has digital media content stored somewhere. After ready Search, this is a killer app that can merge access and media together as some have described with Tivo/Google combined. In other words, Boxee makes the set top box/cable/sat/box dated. Boxee is out of the box approach to access to digital media content and I can see a tremendous opportunity also from expanding the concept on a more open platform incorporation search, advertising, and social networking. The idea is simply brilliant and the time has come.
