Flock receives 15M in another round

Flock is the social browser application that targets the heavy and social networking user. The Flock browser integrates media streams into the browser and for easier sharing. The browser allows users to save text and images to a clip board for sharing on blogs for direct posting or with friends. Flock is very useful in sharing photos form Flickr. Flock allows users to share videos as well in the media stream such as YouTube. The blending of the browser and media is an attractive proposition for users who can take advantage of heavy applications with a browser.

Flock has partnered with yahoo in a similar manner as the firefox/google browser search relationship. Flock as been able to generate revenues in a similar fashion and has experience significant growth rates in revenue.

The $15 million fourth round of funding announced was led by Fidelity Ventures, with all previous lead investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Catamount Ventures and Shasta Venture.
